Telluride’s remoteness is a source of its beauty. Naturally, getting there can take some advanced planning. We recommend making your travel plans early due to the holiday weekend and flights and accommodations are limited in Telluride.

SURROUNDING AIRPORTS

Montrose (MTJ): The area's biggest regional airport with services from most commercial airlines is only a scenic 75 minute drive from Telluride. Rental cars and shuttle options are available from this airport. Lyft and Uber are not always readily available so we recommend making a reservation in advance and confirm with your driver as soon as their contact information is shared the day-of travel.
Telluride (TEX): This small regional airport located 15 minutes from town offers commercial service from PHX and DEN via Denver Air Connection once daily.
Durango (DRO): 2.5 hours southwest of Telluride.
Grand Junction (GJT): 2.5 hours north of Telluride.
Aspen (ASE) or Eagle (EGL) airports: Both roughly 4 hours from Telluride.
Denver (DEN): Ample options of direct flights will be available into Denver at lower rates that some of the more regional airports. If you are considering flying into Denver please reach out via this form so we can assist with group transportation via shuttle.
Salt Lake City (SLC) and Albuquerque (ABQ) are both roughly 5-6 hours away, but good options if you are looking to save money or are interested in exploring the greater southwest on your way to Telluride.

Rental Car: Cars can be rented from MTJ or GJT airport and returned at Telluride Regional Airport, which is a short 15 minutes drive from town. Make sure to consider transportation back to your accommodations once you have returned the car. Cars are not needed once you arrive as Telluride is a walkable community and transportation will be provided to the wedding ceremony and reception. However, a rental car will be useful if you plan to explore the greater region.
